The Role

The Marketing and Social Media Executive is responsible for delivering effective marketing campaigns for our brands and products. The role

involves producing marketing material and co-ordinating marketing activities to ensure campaigns are on schedule and within budget. This role

uses both online and offline marketing methods, (print and online advertising, email marketing, direct mail campaigns, use of social media and

emerging channels etc.) and strong communication skills to build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and external contacts.

 

Social Media Accountabilities:

  • Creating engaging posts and starting a dialogue with our customers and followers that will drive brand awareness and interaction.
  • Helping to develop the social media strategy of the business.
  • The day-to-day running of the target social channels including handling customer contacts, propagation of content and implementation of the social media strategy.
  • Manage and maintain a social content calendar so that all activity can be planned and effectively tracked.
  • Use analytical tools to monitor the successes and engagement levels for different types of content in different locations.
  • Create reports based on these analytics and suggest where improvements can be made.

 

Marketing Accountabilities:

  • Development and execution of marketing plans, and agreed marketing extensions, producing high quality, response-driven marketing campaigns that integrate online and offline marketing activities, using a full range of cost-effective and targeted promotional techniques (including direct marketing, print advertising, email marketing, social media marketing.
  • Records and monitors marketing spend to accurately track costs for campaigns and ensures adherence to agreed budgets.
  • Writes and edits high quality, compelling copy, which is accurate and grammatically correct, making sure that all printed and online communications demonstrate the defined value proposition for the brands.

  • Develops and maintains all relevant marketing and sales collateral to support marketing campaigns and defined commercial needs.
  • Support the development of creative concepts; producing briefs and managing each stage of the design process to ensure all marketing material is approved and delivered to schedule.
  • Produces timely and accurate audience and marketing reports, forecasts, and accruals through maintenance of all data collection points and ensuring data is collected in line with best practice guidelines.

 

Requirements for the Role: 

  • Good creative writing skills.
  • Experience of working in a content led environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Self-motivation, focus and creativity when working independently.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity and collaboration when working as part of a team with a shared goal.
  • Comfortable working in a pressured environment with short deadlines while retaining a high standard level.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ideally in Google Analytics

 

Experience required:

  • Previous experience within a marketing executive/brand management role preferred.
  • Must have experience working across the main social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
  • Business/Marketing related degree preferred but not essential.
  • Work experience within a B2C/consumer/retail led role preferred but not essential.
